Often in fall the air can be dry, warm and very still for days on end. The cool nights and shortened days keep the color change going anyway. This fall in 2020 warm weather lasted seemingly forever. The colors changed late and the intensity was not lacking as can be seen here during an afternoon of stillness and warmth. This beaver pond is on Kebler Pass between Aspen and Crested Butte, Colorado. No wind helps create a surreal and mirror like reflection in the shaded waters.
I personally always love brilliant colors on metal or acrylic print media. Both will enhance the color palette and detail of this image.
